The Soundtrack

Our main search engine for the soundtrack was www.youtube.com

We wanted the soundtrack to have a beat that emphasised pain, desperation, gates and bangs to accompany the action on the trailer. Our group originally decided to not use a soundtrack and use sci-fi effects and sounds. We couldnt find anything on youtube that stood out for us so carried on researching into relevant soundtracks that could accompany our trailer.

MEGAS XLR MUSIC - ORCHESTRAL HORROR sounded perfect for our trailer so we fit in the soundtrack with the action on screen and had to make a lot of changes because it wouldn't. We tried to match the pace of the sound with the action on screen as we have fast and slow paced movements and it was important to get that right as SOUND places a huge role in audience reactions.

Research on Established Horror Posters

I have researched into horror posters and the use of the conventions that are used. The text is very simple and traditional in most of them due to the concept of the films being traditional. I think it will be ideal to use a simple text/font on our poster and front cover magazine as well as the trailer and the production company name.
